The Problem

High security system required for all sizes of vehicles from motorcycles through to HGV’s. The site required fast and efficient access for staff and fully controlled access for deliveries and visitors. Due to the high security of the site, access for unauthorised pedestrians needed to be strictly controlled at all times.

The Solution

NPS installed ELKA ES60 Heavy Duty Barriers with Double Folding Skirts on concrete plinths for high visibility and to stop unauthorised pedestrians access to the site from under the Barrier Booms. Perimeter Fence and Pedestrian Turnstiles were installed around the site for total security.

Case Study 2: Cirencester

1 2

Equipment

Barrier: 1 x ELKA Koloss 120 Mighty Barrier complete with 12m Boom, Folding Skirts 75 Red / White and Fixed Support with Electromagnet

Barrier Operating Device: Elka Illuminated Desktop Panel

Access Control: Free Entry 8m x 2m Induction Loop with Nortech PD132 Loop Detector. Elka 434Mhz Radio Remote Control Single Channel Transmitters

Safety Devices: 8m x 2m Safety / Close Induction Loop with Nortech PD132 Loop Detector

The Problem

High security system required for mainly large delivery vans and HGV’s with an added problem of a very large entrance to the loading bay. The system needed to have free access in but fully controlled out. The loading bay and staff car park needed to be split and secured to stop staff taking a short cut across the loading bay but with the option of opening both when required.

The Solution

NPS installed the ELKA Koloss 120 Mighty Barrier with single Folding Red / White Skirts for high visibility and to deter pedestrian access to the loading bay from under the Barrier Boom. Heavy Duty Lift Out Bollards were installed between the loading bay and staff car parks.

Safety Devices: 2m x 1m Safety / Close Induction Loops with Nortech PD132 Loop Detectors

The Problem

Traffic management access control system required for mainly cars but also must accommodate for large vans and HGV’s with the added problem of an entrance only 6m across. The site required fast access for staff and fully controlled access for deliveries and visitors with the intercom switching between 2 locations in the building, 7 mobile phones and pagers in sequence automatically.

The Solution

NPS installed 2 x ELKA ES30 High Speed Barriers with LED Boom Lights and 12 inch Boom Signs. All equipment was installed on our “IFAB” Fabricated Island due to a conventional concrete island making access lanes too narrow and less than the legal 2.75 metres for each lane. Subsequently the IFAB was only 400mm wide making the access way per lane 2.8 metres, well within legal requirements for all vehicles including fire engines to pass through easily.
